Soon Ceramics creates fine functional and decorative pottery. All work is made by hand from start to finish. Bowls, tumblers, and vases are made on the wheel and then fired in one of several ways.
Raku work is characterized by its carbonized surfaces in areas that are left unglazed.
Wood-fired work exhibits colorful flashing where the fire leaves its mark.
Oxidation-fired pieces attain their finish from the glazes, slips, and underglazes applied before firing.
